1. Introduction
We aim to make delivery simple, transparent, and reliable. All orders are packed and dispatched from our base in Oswestry, Shropshire. By partnering with a variety of trusted national couriers, we ensure your outdoor gear reaches you safely and efficiently.
2. Delivery Options
To ensure your gear arrives safely and at the best value, we select the most efficient carrier for each order. We partner with a range of reliable providers (including Royal Mail, DPD, and DHL) and do not use budget "lifestyle" couriers with poor track records for our deliveries.
Standard Delivery – £3.99
Estimated delivery: 2–4 working days after dispatch.
Our reliable, cost-effective option for non-urgent orders.
Express Delivery – £4.99
Estimated delivery: 1–2 working days after dispatch.
Priority handling for when you need your kit in a hurry.
Free UK Delivery – £0.00
Automatically applied to all orders over £60.
These orders are sent via our Standard Delivery service.
3. Dispatch Times
We aim to dispatch all in-stock items within 2 working days.
Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will be processed on the next working day.
Made-to-order items will have specific lead times noted on the product page.
4. Restricted Items
As an outdoor activity company, some of our products (such as maintenance aerosols, fuel, or bladed items) may be subject to specific carrier restrictions or age-verification requirements.
If your order contains restricted items, we may be limited in which courier we can use.
Where age verification is required by law (e.g., for bladed items), the courier will require a valid ID upon delivery. The package cannot be left in a "safe place" or with a minor.
5. Delivery Restrictions
UK Only: We currently deliver to UK addresses only. International delivery is not available at this time.
PO Boxes & BFPO: We are generally unable to deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses. If you require delivery to one of these, please contact us at hello@woodlandroots.co.uk before ordering so we can check if a compatible service is available.
Address Accuracy: Please ensure your delivery address is accurate and complete (including a valid postcode and phone number) to avoid delays or failed deliveries.
6. Remote and Rural Deliveries
As an outdoor company, we know our customers often live in beautiful, remote places. While we strive to maintain our standard rates, deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and offshore islands may take an additional 1–3 working days.
7. Tracking and Missed Deliveries
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email. Depending on the carrier selected, this may include tracking information.
If you are unavailable, the courier will leave a card or notify you via email/SMS with redelivery or collection instructions.
Parcels returned to us due to non-collection may incur an additional postage charge to resend.
8. Lost or Delayed Deliveries
If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe:
Check your tracking link (if provided) or contact your local sorting office.
If the parcel is still missing, email us at hello@woodlandroots.co.uk
Note: A parcel is officially classified as "lost" once 10 working days have passed since the expected delivery date, at which point we can issue a replacement or refund.
9. Eco-Conscious Packaging
In line with our roots, we use recyclable or biodegradable packaging wherever possible. We ask that you please reuse or recycle the packaging your order arrives in.
